Until recently, “Sofia” motor ship was a classic in river cruise ships. On 17 October, 1983, both twin passenger ships – “Sofia” and “Ruse”, built at De Bisbosch Shipyard in the Netherlands, were launched into the outflow of Danube River. They are 113 meters long, with over a hundred cabins located on two decks.

Over the years, "Sofia" ship has become an emblem of "Danube Tours" for a river cruise. Today it has been completely renovated and modernized to welcome on its board Ruse residents and guests of the city in unique and refined atmosphere.

The intention of the investors for the future is to turn it into an entertaining floating complex with a restaurant, swimming pool, beach bar, piano bar and hotel part.
